Sure, it was strange to have a drink in my hand as the recovering alcoholic dragged me to the dance floor, but this was Seattle, right? It’s really just the norm.
Nicole was different than I was – more outspoken, better dresser, sassy personality. She looked like she slept with everyone in the office, with the exception that she hadn’t. In fact, she hadn’t slept with anyone in a great while, and for that, I appreciated her.
We went dancing often, probably every few weeks or so. I would arrive at her house, looking as sassy as I could be, only to be overshadowed by Nicole’s new top, or zebra-print pants. What’s that they say – keep your friends close, keep your fun-loving, over-the-top friends closer?
